What could I get ahead of my appointment to speed up the process?

To help streamline your consultation and reduce potential delays in script approval, there are a few documents you can gather ahead of time. Having these ready allows our clinicians to make informed decisions more efficiently.

1. Discharge Letter (If Applicable)
If you are currently, or have previously been, a patient with another medicinal cannabis clinic or specialist:

  • Providing a discharge letter or treatment summary can give valuable insight into your prior prescriptions and response to treatment

2. Health Summary
If you have opted out of My Health Record, we recommend obtaining a health summary from your regular GP.

  • This should include your medical history, current medications, and any relevant diagnoses

3. Supporting Documentation
You are welcome to provide any additional documents that may help our clinicians better understand your condition, such as:

  • Specialist reports
  • Test results
  • Referral letters

These documents are particularly helpful when they relate to the condition you are seeking treatment for with medicinal cannabis.

Why This Matters
Providing this information upfront can:

  • Reduce the likelihood of follow-up document requests
  • Shorten overall processing times
  • Support a smoother path to script approval

If you’re unsure what to include, our patient care team can guide you prior to your appointment.
